This poster design is part of a series of illustrations
featuring the sculpture of Carl Milles among others in the gardens
of Cranbrook. The core concept of the series is a call to imagination
and inspiration as expressed through a photographic interpretation
of Carl Milles creations and the magical world of the garden.
Secret Gardens is bids the viewer to explore the hidden world of the
imagination as though it was a garden of treasures. The maiden
could be the spirit of artistic energy searching for an idea on which
to base a creation. Water and leaves cast the figures into shadow and
sunlight breaks through suggesting an epiphany.
